“Doing foresight within the corporate world is different. Those who do it, know it and feel it every day. One of the things that helped me when I first started in a dedicated foresight role, and that I continue to find every day, is connecting with others who do what I do. That’s why I started FIG.”

adam | Co-founder

Adam Walker is a global brand, strategy and insights expert and the Executive Director of Consumer Foresight and Market Exploration at The Walt Disney Company, with a focus on future-proofing through foresight. He’s a student of people and culture, and has made it his mission to figure out what makes people tick.

“My approach to foresight is very much influenced by the deep belief that people have the wit, courage and inate need to create a better future for society. FIG will allow a community to come together and make those desires something real.”

Ben | CO-FOUNDER

Benjamin Moncrieffe is the Head of Strategic Foresight at JLR and an experienced business strategist, innovator & change maker. His experience, passion and focus lies in provoking the business to think differently, respond to disruption and take calculated risks. He is passionate about diversity of thought & cocreation, believing strongly that creativity can come from anywhere.

“Like no other industry I’ve worked in, have I come across a community that is as simultaneously diverse & like-minded as strategic foresight. It can be a lonely role at times, particularly when you might be the only one advocating for a direction or “big bet”. We need kindred spirits around us to do what we do.”

Olivier| Steering member

Olivier Desbiey is AXA’s Group Head of Foresight. He considers his role to be about stimulating anticipation and adaptation muscles to ensure the company is better equipped to deal with surprises. With a background in social science-based foresight – training as an economist – he has previously worked in administrative and public sectors during times of significant digital transformation.

“What I find truly unique about FIG is how it combines a diversity of profiles and industries, all with one common denominator: everyone is a hands-on foresight practitioner. It means a network of people actively using foresight to future-proof their ogranizations and contribute to long-term success. Being a futurist is never simple, but FIG makes it a lot more rewarding.”
